ENGINEERING
CASTECHNOLOGIES' engineering staff committed to working with our customers
to develop a properly designed, functional component. From product concept,
to design, to qualification, to production, we believe our expertise will
allow our customers to focus their attention on other product issues.
Our casting equipment has been designed and built in our own facility utilizing
a broad knowledge of the Graphite Permanent Mold process and today's technologies
to maximize the process' strengths. Our casting equipment is continually
upgraded with the most advanced, off-the-shelf components.
MACHINING
CASTECHNOLOGIES has a full range of machining capabilities in order to
supply a complete, functional component. ZA-12 is an easily machined material
and its lubricous nature reduces tool wear; these features, along with
the process' near-net shape capabilities, can demonstrate considerable
cost savings over other methods, whether castings are machined at our facility
or the customer's.

FINISHING
ZA-12, when cast, exhibits an attractive, bright finish. Over time, the
surface color softens to an appealing, pewter-like appearance, which
is fully acceptable
for most applications. However, for protective or aesthetic reasons, some castings
require an added finish. As is the case with standard zinc die-casting alloys,
a variety of finishes can be applied; these include chromium plating, chromate
and phosphate conversion coatings, polymeric coatings, paints (after zinc phosphating)
and anodizing.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
CASTECHNOLOGIES' Quality System is based on ISO 9002 and exists to assure that
our products meet or exceed the quality levels required by specification, satisfy
our customer's wants, and assure that CASTECHNOLOGIES' products are competitive
in the marketplace. Our Quality System is of the "Total Quality Concept" wherein
all entities of the company support the Quality objectives set forth by management.
